BIOGRAPHY
Sarah is a Sydney based stylist, set designer and creative director well regarded for her confident use of colour and clean, graphic aesthetics, with a nostalgic nod to Mid-Century references.
With over 15 years of experience within both the arts and fashion space, Sarah is adept in various angles of the industry and is respected for her creative flair and sagacious eye. No matter the form, a touch of playfulness always underpins Sarah's work.
Sarah began her studies at The National Art School (NAS) in Sydney, before graduating with a Bachelor of Design at NSW Fashion Design Studio Ultimo in 2007. Upon graduation, she immediately commenced her fashion career, utilising her studio skills through textile treatments and hand-crafted details accepting the role of Design Assistant at Sass & Bide, under the tutelage of Heidi Middleton. In 2010, Sarah relocated to London, where she transitioned into styling while working at Shoreditch based Fashion House, Richard Nicoll.
Returning home to Sydney in 2012, Sarah accepted the role of Fashion Market Editor at Pacific Magazines, working across such titles as Marie Claire and WHO magazine.
Since launching herself as a Freelance Fashion Stylist in 2019, Sarah has worked with notable directors and photographers across editorial, campaign and ecommerce styling projects, such as Pierre Toussaint (VIVIENS' CREATIVE) for EPHEMERA, Saskia Wilson (The Pool Creative) for VENROY, Brigette Clark for NAGNATA, Darren McDonald for Oyster Magazine and Natalia Parsonson (The Uncommon Agency) for SIDE-NOTE.
Through Sarah’s ongoing relationship with production and creative agencies Collider and Entropico, she has continued to collaborate with a number of clients including Bonds, Commbank, QANTAS, The National Library of Australia, OPTUS and Westfield, producing set and art department styling across TVC advertising projects.
Alongside her commercial work, Sarah has been commissioned to create installations, prop and set styling for film and music video for home grown Australian music artists such as FLUME and Flight Facilities.
Sarah is a multi-faceted creative who works between the realms of art, design and fashion styling. She has a conscious mindset of sustainability, and is passionate about helping each client create as little waste as possible throughout the production process.
Sarah continues to be inspired by challenges of implementing an innovative mixed media approach to projects and enjoys building new creative relationships as her career journey evolves.
